One man is in police custody after leading police on a short chase in south Columbia early Thursday morning.

Columbia police originally received a physical disturbance call around 1 a.m. on the south side of town. When they got to the area of Canterbury Drive and Belle Meade Drive, a man fled the area and eventually crashed into a tree.
