Cold start to the day… Sunshine aids in better weather conditions today

SUNDAY: It’s a cold start to the day across Mid-Missouri with many locations in the upper 20s . Thankfully we have clear skies and that will aid in a warmup this afternoon. However, with persistent north winds, that will help stave off a more significant, comfortable warmup. Many places are in the mid-upper 40s by this afternoon.

TONIGHT: It’s another chilly night across Mid-Missouri as we dip back below freezing. You’ll want the jacket for yourself and the kiddos as we head back to work and school. We’ll see clear skies with winds turning out of the south after midnight.

EXTENDED: We’ll see winds return out of the south Monday, and after a chilly start to the day, a more appreciable warmup will be felt. We’ll be in the mid-upper 50s by Monday afternoon. Upper-level flow relaxes in this timeframe and will lead to mostly dry, warming conditions through at least Wednesday. A spot shower north of I-70 can’t be ruled out Tuesday afternoon. Our warmest day looks to be Wednesday with highs back near 70. Rain will increase Wednesday night into Thursday ahead of the next system that will cool us down into the end of next week.
