Firefighters put out chimney fire in Boone County
Boone County firefighters said no one was hurt after a chimney caught fire on High Point Lane around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Assistant Chief Gale Blomenkamp told ABC 17 News that the homeowners were burning in their fireplace when a creosote build-up caused a blaze to begin.
There were no flames or damage to the home.
