Porter sets season-high as Mizzou women’s basketball outlasts Arkansas

The Mizzou women’s basketball team notched its 20th win of the season for the fourth straight year with a 73-67 road win over Arkansas.

Following the win, the Tigers are 20-9 overall (9-6 SEC).

Cierra Porter led the way with her best game since returning to the team. She had a season-high 21 points to go with nine rebounds.

Sophie Cunningham overcame a 2-11 night from the field to finish with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan Roundtree had a season-high 16 points for the Tigers.

Mizzou led by double digits in the third quarter but coughed up the lead. Arkansas led, 41-37, to end the third quarter.

Out of the break, Mizzou was on fire and went on an 11-2 run. The Tigers retook the lead and hung on for the victory.

Mizzou next returns home for senior night against Alabama on Sunday. The Tigers will honor seniors Sophie Cunningham, Cierra Porter and Lauren Aldridge.
