FRIDAY: Showers will move north through the morning hours and become very spotty through the day. High temperatures wil reach the low to mid 40s with an east breeze up to 10 mph.
TONIGHT: Rain chances continue through the night with a few rumbles of thunder possible. Under cloudy skies temperatures only dip into the mid 30s.
EXTENDED: On going rain continues through the first half of the weekend. We could hear a few rumbles of thunder with these showers on Saturday morning and through the day. Rain will be widespread, but most intensity will be light. Temperatures for the first part of the weekend will warm into the middle 50s with breezy southwesterly winds. The warm-up doesn’t last long as a strong cold front moves through Saturday night. We could see showers briefly change over to light snow as cold air rushes back in, more likely north of I-70. Sunday looks windy and cooler with highs in the low 40s. That seasonal weather sticks around for the beginning of the work week on Monday and Tuesday.
