Police looking for driver after attempted traffic stop

Officers with the Columbia Police Department searched for a driver Thursday night.

Police said officers attempted a traffic stop near Anderson Avenue and Hope Place around 6 p.m. and the driver fled the scene on foot.

Officers and the K-9 Unit searched for the person throughout the area.

Police cleared the scene around 6:30 p.m. after they were unable to locate the driver.
