UM Board Executive Committee makes 8 chair appointments
University of Missouri Board of Curators appointed made 8 committee chair appointments Friday.
Committee chair assignments for 2019 are:
Executive Committee: Jon Sundvold Academic, Student Affairs, Research and Economic Development Committee: Darryl Chatman Audit Committee: Jeffrey Layman Compensation and Human Resources Committee: Phillip Snowden External Affairs, Marketing and Advancement Committee: Jamie Farmer Finance Committee: Julia Brncic Governance, Resources and Planning Committee: David Steelman Health Affairs Committee: Maurice Graham
These appointments were approved by the UM Board of Curators Executive Committee.
The board’s chair also announced board meetings will be shorter in hopes of making better use of time and resources and allowing committees to have in-depth discussions.
The public will be able to listen to the committee meetings on a conference call.
“I’m indebted to my fellow curators for their commitment and dedication to the University of Missouri,” Sundvold said. “We have a wonderful variety of skillful individuals on the Board, and we’re able to take advantage of their expertise through these committee assignments.”
Sundvold also said the board’s structure will change for 2019.
The board also made changes to meetings beginning in February. Regular board meetings will be held over one day instead of two days. Committee meetings with board meetings will be done via a conference call the week before.
