Holts Summit city administrator resigns

Matt Harline is now the former city administrator of Holts Summit.

Harline said Thursday that he submitted his resignation letter Monday after being asked to resign by Mayor Landon Oxley. Oxley was not immediately available for comment.

Harline said he and the city “had a difference of priorities,” but did not go into detail. He said his resignation was effective at 5 p.m. Monday. Harline became the city administrator in Holts Summit on May 22. He is a former Columbia city councilman and was the city administrator in Centralia before taking the Holts Summit job.

Harline said the resignation request was sudden and that he’s not yet sure about his plans for the future.
