More sunshine for Mid-Missouri early this week

MONDAY: After a bit of a frosty start, we will continue to see sunshine dominate our weather to start out the week. Temperatures in the afternoon will top out into the upper 40s and low 50s in Mid-Missouri with winds light and variable.

TONIGHT: We’ll keep those mostly clear skies heading into the overnight hours, which will allow us to cool off once again. Temperatures will dip to the upper 20s to near 30 degrees heading into Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: We will pick up a few more clouds heading throughout the afternoon on Tuesday, but temperatures will remain above average for this time of year in the low 50s. Heading into Wednesday, we’ll be tracking a low pressure system that looks to bring us a chance of rain. Right now, timing looks to be Wednesday evening into Thursday morning when Mid-Missouri should expect some light showers. This system exits off to our east Thursday afternoon, leaving behind cooler temperatures. We only top out in the middle 40s Thursday with cloud cover lingering and low 40s by Friday.
