A Columbia man was indicted on a federal weapon charge Wednesday.

A grand jury indicted Bilal H. Hill, 41, on one count of being a felon in possession of guns.

Hill was arrested after a raid in the 2800 block of South Providence Road on Nov. 14. According to the indictment, the search turned up a Smith & Wesson .45-caliber handgun and a Sig Sauer .22-caliber handgun.

A criminal complaint filed after Hill’s arrest also said the raid of his apartment turned up 7 grams of synthetic marijuana.
