Columbia woman charged in connection to store thefts

A Columbia woman was charged with three counts of felony stealing on Thursday after police connected her to a string of thefts from a local store.

According to court documents, Talicia Fletcher allegedly stole numerous items from JC Penney in Columbia on three separate occasions in September. Fletcher, along with others, took more than $4,500 worth of Nike clothing from the store, the documents said. Officers were able to identify Fletcher from surveillance footage.

Fletcher was arrested on Sept. 17 on related charges after Fulton police arrested her for allegedly using U-Haul trucks to steal a large quantity of clothes from Hibbett Sports.

Jamal Jackson, Natasha Leonard, TaeJour Hill and Javion Ellis were also arrested in that incident for felony stealing
