Truck driver suffers moderate injuries in I-70 rollover

A Tennessee truck driver suffered moderate injuries after his tractor-trailer rolled early Thursday on Interstate 70.

Marcus Patterson, 26, of Manchester, Tennessee, was driving westbound at the 142.4 mile marker in Callaway County when his truck ran off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and overturned, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a crash report. He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

It was not clear what caused Patterson to run off the road. The crash happened at about 4:20 a.m. about halfway between Kingdom City and Columbia.

ABC 17 News crews were told on scene that the truck was carrying mulch dye.
