A man was charged Wednesday after he allegedly stole items from multiple vehicles parked in Montgomery City in September.

According to court documents, Erick J. Howes, along with three juveniles, took items from multiple unlocked vehicles in the area on Sept. 24 and 25.

Some of the items taken included prescription drugs, a gun, medical identification cards, cash and a laptop among various other items. Two vehicles were also damaged in the process.

Howes admitted to the events to police during an interview in September. He’s charged with 16 counts of stealing, two counts of first-degree property damage and seven counts of trespassing.
