Temperatures finally rise back above freezing by afternoon

WEDNESDAY: Bundle up as you head out the door Wednesday, as temperatures will be in the teens. You’ll want to watch for slick spots as you hit the roads, as some areas could see refreezing. Under mostly cloudy skies and winds out of the southeast, we’ll finally climb above freezing. Afternoon highs will top out near 39, with most of the snow expected to melt through the day.

TONIGHT: Clouds stick around tonight as temperatures drop towards freezing by morning. It will be slightly warmer through the night compared to the past few with winds out of the south. Southwest winds up to 8 mph will make it feel like the upper 20s through morning.

EXTENDED: The warming trend continues as we head through the rest of the week, with the end of November to be seasonal and rainy. Our first chance of rain arrives by Thursday and mainly affects areas along and south of I-70. Any rain will be more of a nuisance and light in nature as we head through the day Thursday. By the end of the week we touch 50 degrees, with widespread rain arriving by Friday evening. This comes as another low pressure system tracks in from the southwest which will bring breezy winds and heavy rainfall into Saturday. For now the track of the low looks to remain to our west, which would keep us all seeing rain into Saturday morning. Colder air looks to filter in by Sunday and last through next week and any remaining moisture could bring some light snow showers to parts of Mid-Missouri.
