No one injured after duplex catches fire in Fulton

Fulton Fire Department and Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office investigators have ruled a fire in a two-story duplex as accidental.

Crews responded to the fire in the 200 block of East 6th at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The Fulton Fire Department said crews arrived to find an active fire in the attic. Firefighters brought the fire under control in about an hour, according to a news release.

Everyone was out of the home when firefighters arrived on scene and no one was injured, officials said.

Investigators said the only thing that could not be ruled out as the cause of the fire was a faulty outlet on the second floor of the building.
