Icy road conditions possible Sunday morning
ABC 17 Stormtrack Meteorologist Kevin Schneider said there is a chance that roads could be slick Sunday morning.
Schneider said that the radar most likely won’t show any sort of precipitation, but all of mid-Missouri will have a light drizzle, which radar doesn’t detect.
The slightly wet roads could cause an issue north of I-70 if the air temperature falls below freezing.
Exposed roadways like bridges and overpasses will have an even higher chance of becoming icy, because the ground temperature will be below freezing.
Schneider said that for most of the morning, temperatures will hover right around freezing, or drop slightly below.
