Weather Aware Day: Sunday Morning
We are watching for possible minor snow and patchy ice accumulation this morning. While it won’t be heavy, there may be enough to cause some isolated slick roads. Stay weather aware this morning, especially if you are traveling during this time period.
We have been getting reports of light drizzle around Mid-Missouri this morning. We are continuing to monitor locations where that drizzle is falling and temperatures at the surface are below freezing. Most of the roadways in Mid-Missouri will have no impacts, thanks to warmer ground temperatures, but slow down on bridges and overpasses as some of those could have isolated slick spots. This wintry mix will be moving off to the east throughout the morning, eventually ending by midday. We look to warm up back above freezing around this time, limiting the travel threat to wet roadways.

This system is on its way out this morning and roadways seem to be in good condition. We’re continuing to track this system and its effects on Mid-Missouri’s roadways. As new data comes in we will have updates on-air and online throughout the morning. Please check back here and watch ABC 17 News through the weekend for the newest information.
