Human remains found in Pettis County
Pettis County authorities said Sunday they were investigating after human bones were found near Eagle Brook Farm southeast of Sedalia Saturday night.
According to deputies, a Missouri Conservation agent reported finding the remains in a densely wooded area. Deputies responded to the scene and began an investigation
On Sunday, the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s office worked the scene alongside a forensic anthropologist and an investigator with the Boone County Medical Examiner’s office.
They took the remains and other evidence to Columbia for further analysis and to determine an identity.
The case is currently under investigation.
