Warming up for the weekend

TONIGHT: Temperatures will dip to near 40 by morning with clouds breaking to partly cloudy skies and light winds. Patchy fog is possible by morning.

SATURDAY: The weekend will start off warmer and dry as temperatures warm into the low to mid 60s Saturday with a west to southwest breeze up to 10 mph under partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED: A weak cold front will move through Sunday morning but any rain from this front looks like it will stay in northeastern Missouri, missing our area. It also looks windy Sunday with northwesterly winds at 12-20 mph, gusting up to 30 at times behind the front. Highs will reach the low 60s under partly cloudy skies. Heading into next week, Monday looks dry with seasonal temperatures sticking around. Tuesday will be warmer and breezy, reaching the low to mid 60s as southerly winds increase ahead of a cold front which will bring a chance of rain by the afternoon, increasing Tuesday night. Rain is possible early Wednesday but as of now, the front is expected to move out during the day Wednesday, leaving us dry and cool for trick-or-treaters. As the front stalls out, some areas to the southeast near I-44 could see lingering showers through Wednesday evening. Tune in to ABC 17 News on-air and online for the latest forecast updates.
