Cooler weather moving into the region

TUESDAY: We have a cold front working its way into Mid-Missouri this morning, ushering in cooler conditions for our Tuesday. It will still be a nice Fall day, with temperatures topping out in the low to mid 60s this afternoon and abundant sunshine.

TONIGHT: Quiet weather sticks around tonight with mostly clear skies and light winds out of the northeast. It will be slightly cooler, with temperatures bottoming out in the mid to upper 30s, so we could see some patchy frost develop in the morning.

EXTENDED: With surface high pressure in charge, Wednesday will be another cooler than average day, with afternoon highs around 60 and more sunshine, especially in the morning. As this system slides off toward the east, more moisture will move into the region. Clouds will be on the increase Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday, with a slight shower chance Thursday night into Friday. Another chance of showers moves in Friday night and early Saturday with a cold front. Any showers we can squeeze out of either of these chances will be light in nature, however. Temperatures look to stay in the middle to upper 50s for highs all the way through the weekend. Keep up to date with the latest forecast on-air and online with ABC 17 News.
