After a cool morning, Monday bring unseasonably warm temperatures

MONDAY: After a cool morning, temperatures warm up generously. It’s likely to be our warmest day that we’ve had in the past week and a half. Highs will touch the 70 degree mark by tomorrow afternoon, with a steady southwest breeze upwards of 8-12 mph. This is under plenty of sunshine.

TONIGHT: Temperatures tonight drop back to the low 40s under clear skies. Winds will shift to the north through the night, but remaining light up to 8 mph.

EXTENDED: We’re tracking a series of cold fronts through the week that will kick temperatures back below average by Tuesday. With high pressure overhead skies remain clear through Tuesday and Wednesday will highs close to 60. Lows Tuesday will be dropping into the mid 30s with another potential for patchy frost. This week holds a lot of dry time, but as we head into the weekend small rain chances return. Weekend precipitation potential is in association with a weak upper level wave, which will begin to interact with the remnants of what is now Hurricane Willa. Rain will increase Friday night into Saturday as a weak cold front moves through the area, but we will dry out through Saturday afternoon. Showers will be very light in nature, only bringing us .25″ through the next 7 days. Keep up to date with the latest forecast on-air and online with ABC 17 News.
