Showers Friday, beautiful fall weekend ahead
TONIGHT: Clouds increase tonight with temperatures only dropping into the low to mid 40s through morning. A few light showers are possible after 3 AM mainly north of I-70.
FRIDAY: Showers will increase after 8 AM from the west, becoming more numerous and shifting southeast through early afternoon to near I-44 by 4 PM. Rainfall amounts of .01″ to .25″ are expected with highest amounts south of I-70. The clouds will linger but we’ll be dry and cool for Sportszone Football Friday and for Mizzou’s evening homecoming activities. Temperatures will reach the upper 50s in the afternoon, dropping into the low 50s by 10 PM with westerly winds at 6-10 mph.
EXTENDED: Overnight lows Friday drop into the mid 40s creating a cool start if you’re heading out to the Homecoming Parade at 9 AM Saturday. Temperatures will warm to near 60 Saturday afternoon with mostly sunny and it will be breezy, with northwesterly winds at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25 mph at times. Saturday night will be colder with widespread frost as lows dip into the low 30s. The sunny, dry weather continues Sunday but it will be cooler with highs in the mid 50s. Highs into the beginning of next week rebound into the low to mid 60s Monday Tuesday but another cold front will cool us down a bit again for next Wednesday with a chance of rain Wednesday night into Thursday.
