SUV plows into New Bloomfield home

UPDATE 9:45 a.m: The driver who crashed into a New Bloomfield home was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to Holt Summit Police Chief Kyle McIntyre.

No injuries were reported in the crash.

Original story: Holts Summit officers were called to the 600 block of Redwood Drive in New Bloomfield Wednesday afternoon.

When they arrived, they found a white SUV that appeared to have crashed into a house.

In a Facebook post, the police department said the driver was arrested, but did not say whether intoxicants are believed to have been a factor in the crash.

“We apologize to the citizens of the New Bloomfield community or the commuters traveling through the area at the time, for only having one lane of traffic open,” said the social media post.

The post didn’t include any information about injuries to the driver or anyone else.

ABC 17 News is working to follow up with the department to collect more details on the crash.
