Unseasonably hot start to the week

MONDAY: We’ll see a little bit more sun peeking out by this afternoon which will allow for temperatures to rise into the mid 80s. We’ll likely see more sun than clouds by the mid afternoon. With winds up to 8 mph out of the south it will feel a bit more humid.

TONIGHT: Temperatures won’t drop far tonight as lows remain in the the mid 60s by morning. Partly cloudy skies stick around with muggy conditions by morning.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will remain above averages through the first half of the work week, with Wednesday being the warmest day of the bunch. A few places may touch 90 Wednesday afternoon, with plenty of humidity to go around. After this return to summer like weather, the second half of the week and into the weekend will bring the return of an unsettled weather pattern. A series of cold fronts will trail through the area into the weekend that will bring us rain chances and cooler temperatures. This is as the country will find itself split in half by seasons, with Fall dominating out west and stifling heat and humidity holding strong along the east coast. This early out it’s hard to pin down exact rainfall totals, but by this time next week we can expect heavy rainfall accumulation.
