Warmer weather returns to begin October
SUNDAY: We’re starting out about 10 degrees warmer than 24 hours ago and we will continue that warm theme into the afternoon. Temperatures will reach into the lower 80s for highs with a mix of sun and clouds in the afternoon. Winds out of the south will increase the moisture available and make it a little more difficult to clear out some of those lower level clouds.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies will hold on into the overnight hours. Overnight lows will dip into the low to mid 60s, so another mild night for Mid-Missouri with winds out of the south at 5-10 mph.
EXTENDED: Above average temperatures dominate the beginning of the work week. An upper-level ridge east of Mid-Missouri will keep our winds out of the south direction, keeping warm temperatures in place. An upper level disturbance looks to clip the region Monday night into Tuesday, bringing a slight chance for showers Tuesday morning. Temperatures will be in the low to middle 80s for highs through Wednesday before that ridge retreats just enough to bring an active weather pattern back to Mid-Missouri. A chance of showers and thunderstorms moves in Thursday and will stick around into next weekend. Watch ABC 17 News to get the latest forecast updates.
