Increasing clouds with slight rain chances by this evening

FRIDAY: Another cold front is forecast to move through the area Friday, which will bring the return to cooler conditions as we head into the weekend. Ahead of the front temperatures will still be fairly seasonal in the lower 70s with increasing clouds. The evening will start out dry as temperatures cool into the 50s for Sports Zone Football Friday.

TONIGHT: Spotty light showers are possible later into the evening but will increase overnight into early Saturday. Areas north of HWY 50 have the best chance and anything we see will be light and spotty. Rainfall totals look higher to the northwest, but only .25″ at most is expected.

EXTENDED: Showers are more likely in the morning Saturday north of I-70, shifting to the north by early afternoon and ending. Highs Saturday will only climb into the mid to upper 60s, with the lower 60s possible in far northern Mid-Missouri. Saturday afternoon will be dry and partly sunny. By Sunday and on into next week, the upper level ridge builds back over the area, which means the return of warmer air and afternoon highs in the 80s and nights warming into the 60s. Monday and Tuesday remain unseasonably warm with temperatures in the low 80s. More storm chances move in next Wednesday night with a cold front that will cool us down for the end of next week.
