Howard County authorities cancel search for missing children
UPDATE – 9/27: The Howard County Sheriff’s Department canceled an endangered person advisory for 2-year-old Isabella Mordica and 9-month-old Wyatt Mordica.
The advisory is in reference to an incident at 512 RT Y in Harrisburg around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities took Cody Mordica, 24, into custody and transported him to the Howard County Jail.
The cancelation notice from the Missouri State Highway Patrol did not include any information about the condition of the children.

ORIGINAL: Howard County authorities are seeking the public’s help finding two children who were taken from their home Tuesday.
The Howard County Sheriff’s Department issued an endangered person advisory for 2-year-old Isabella Mordica and 9-month-old Wyatt Mordica. Authorities believe Cody Mordica, 24, took the children in a Chevrolet truck with Missouri plate 6VA531 after a fight with their mother, authorities said.
Cody Mordica is described as a white man about 6 feet 2 inches tall with red hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion and weighs about 150 pounds. Isabella was wearing a Minnie Mouse dress with a tutu bottom and Wyatt was wearing an orange shirt and gray pants.
The sheriff’s office said they might be headed to Columbia. The children were taken from a home on Route Y in Harrisburg at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
