Moniteau County man killed in southwest Mo. crash
Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers say a California, Missouri, man was killed Sunday in a crash in southwest Missouri.
Billy Penn, 26, died when his 2005 Dodge Neon crossed the center line and hit a GMC Sierra head-on at about 7:25 a.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The Sierra driver, Carrie Searcy, 57, of Pineville, Missouri, suffered minor injuries, the patrol said. The crash happened near Powell in McDonald County.
Both Searcy and Penn were wearing seat belts.
Penn was pronounced dead at the scene.
