Columbia police investigate near Rock Quarry Road
UPDATE: Columbia police confirmed someone did run from a traffic stop, but they are not a danger to the public.
They are still investigating, and said there is not a lot of information at this time.
ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police have cleared the scene of an incident in south Columbia.
Around 2:15 p.m., Boone County Joint Communications warned that part of Rock Quarry Road near Stags Way was closed due to a “police situation.”
ABC 17 News crews on scene said one person was detained and police seemed to be looking for someone in the Rolling Rock subdivision.
