Callaway County deputies arrest five after recovering 70 firearms, 29 marijuana plants

Callaway County deputies executed a drug search warrant, which was obtained through an extensive criminal investigation, in the 5100 block of County Road 280 Friday morning, according to a press release.

As a result of the search, deputies arrested Darrin Smithee, 52, of Auxvasse; Steven Redwine, 56, of Tuscumbia; Montie Stiers, 50, of Fulton; Natasha Redwine, 31, of Columbia; and Jennifer Quick, 49, of Fulton.

Callaway County deputies were assisted by the Fulton Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, The Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Boone County Sheriff’s Department to execute the search.

As a result of the investigation and execution of the search warrant, law enforcement officers found 70 firearms, methamphetamine, 29 marijuana plants, several pounds of marijuana, pills, defaced and stolen firearms, and defaced all-terrain vehicles and motorcycles.

Deputies also found two wanted fugitives from Miller County in the residence they searched.

Smithee was arrested on the following charges: f elony unlawful possession of a firearm, felony possession of a controlled substance, felony manufacturing a controlled substance, felony unlawful use of a weapon, felony tampering, felony stealing, possession of a defaced firearm, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Smithee is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond per a judge’s order.

Steven Redwine was arrested on the following charges: f elony Miller County warrants for burglary, possession of methamphetamine, stealing a motor vehicle, and stealing. Redwine is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond per a Miller County court order.

Stiers was arrested on the following charges: f elony possession of a controlled substance. Stiers is being held at the Callaway County Jail pending a court-set bond of $4,500.

Natasha Redwine was arrested on the following charges: Miller County warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses. Redwine is being held at the Callaway County Jail pending a court-set bond of $4,000.

Quick was arrested on the following charges: possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Quick was later released from the Callaway County Jail on bond.

Deputies said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests or charges are possible.
