UPDATE: Man dies in Cooper County motorcycle crash
UPDATE 9/17 1:45 a.m.: One man is dead after a motorcycle crash Sunday in Cooper County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified Anthony Martin, 52, as the victim in the crash.
It happened shortly before 8 p.m. when Martin started to brake, ran off the road and hit the guardrail, according to a highway patrol crash report. The motorcycle went back on the road and Martin was thrown from the motorcycle.
The coroner pronounced Martin dead on scene.
This is Troop F’s sixth fatality for the month of September.

Both Eastbound lanes of I70 are currently shut down while emergency crews work the scene.
