With a week left til the official start of fall, Summer holding strong across Mid-MO
TONIGHT: The weather stays warm and muggy through the rest of the evening hours. We can expect to bottom out around in the mid 60s just before sunrise tomorrow. Winds remain light out of the ENE at 3 – 5 mph.
TOMORROW: We can expect a repeat Sunday, quickly warming through the morning hours into the low 80s, temperatures between 87-89 by the afternoon hours. With a little extra humidity around we can expect temperatures to feel like the low 90s. Drinking plenty of water alongside any extended outdoor activity is advised tomorrow. A slight, spotty rainshower risk is possible for portions of eastern Mid-Missouri tomorrow as well.
EXTENDED: The upper level ridge, which drives the warmth and humidity across our area locks into place this week. We can expect afternoon highs in the mid-to-upper 80s throughout much of this week, with spotty afternoon storm chances Wednesday & Thursday. A more substantial chance of rain approaches the area Thursday night into Friday, where more widespread rain is possible. This will be followed by a round of relief in terms of temperatures, with daytime highs likely back in the 70s with lows in the upper 50s and low 60s. We’ll continue to track this potential for rain and relief throughout this week. Make sure to watch ABC 17 News for weather updates and check back here for the newest forecast.
