Warm and humid to end the workweek

TONIGHT: Temperatures will stay in the mid 60s through the night with mostly clear skies. With winds out of the southeast up to 8 mph it will feel a bit muggy through the night.

FRIDAY: Rising humidity will certainly be felt as you head out the door Friday morning, as dew points will be sitting near 70 degrees. This will make it feel quite muggy outside, with afternoon highs climbing into the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies. Factoring in the humidity, it will feel more like the lower 90s through the day. Winds will remain out of the south up to 8 mph, reinforcing the heat and humidity to close the workweek.

EXTENDED: As Hurricane Florence makes landfall along the east coast, it will influence our weather greatly. Drier air over the Ohio River Valley will backtrack into the region keeping any rain chances at bay. However, we could see a small chance for a few isolated showers Sunday evening, but it looks greatly limited. The weather for Sports Zone Football Friday looks great with clear skies and temperatures dropping from the low 80s at 7 pm to the upper 70s by 9 pm. More rain chances make their way back into the forecast next week but for now, it looks limited to spot showers through the middle of next week. Temperatures into next week will stay in the mid to upper 80s, as the summertime ridge remains anchored across the region.
