Man pleads guilty to Jefferson City murder

A man charged in the October 2016 shooting death of a Jefferson City man pleaded guilty Monday in Cole County court.

Terrance Wynn, 21, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action in the death of Terrance Davison.

Wynn also pleaded guilty to second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, receiving stolen property and armed criminal action in a separate shooting on Monroe Street in Jefferson City in November 2016. Wynn was arrested after that shooting and charged in December 2016 in connection with Davison’s death. Wynn’s sentencing for both sets of charges is set for Dec. 6.

Police said at the time Wynn was charged with murder that shell casings found at both shooting scenes matched each other. Wynn admitted his involvement in the fatal shooting, which he said was a robbery, according to a probable cause statement.

Traivon Jefferson is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action and first-degree attempted robbery in Davison’s death. His trial is set for November.
