Hartsburg man charged in Millersburg armed robbery

A Hartsburg man was charged after he allegedly robbed a Millersburg resident on Wednseday at his home.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation on the incident where a victim reported he was “approached by two male suspects, one of which was armed.” According to the sheriff’s office, the victim reported he was assaulted and robbed and also said shots were fired by a suspect during the robbery. The suspects then fled the area, according to the victim.

Investigators identified Brian McKee as a suspect in the incident and were able to arrest him on Thursday.

McKee was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, first-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.

McKee is being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
