Boil water advisory issued for part of Boone County

Public Water Supply District No. 4 of Boone County has issued a boil water advisory for customers in the Hecht, Hague, Elkin and Mt. Zion Church Road areas of Hallsville.

A district representative said the advisory was issued because of repairs to a line, and the area was expanded because of complications encountered during those repairs.

Customers in the area are advised to boil any water used for cooking or drinking and to discard any ice from an automatic ice maker.

The advisory will expire in 24 hours.
