Columbia police search for suspects in armed car-jacking

Columbia police responded to a reported car-jacking Tuesday morning.

It happened in the 10 block of East Forest Avenue around 1:30 a.m.

A man was sitting in his car when three or four men wearing dark clothing approached his vehicle and pulled out a gun, according to a City of Columbia spokesman.

The suspects reportedly pulled the man from the car, assaulted him and took his wallet.

The victim’s vehicle is a Chevrolet Impala with Minnesota plates. Some suspects also left in a green Pontiac sedan with areas of primer, according to the spokesman.
