Rain and storms across Mid-Missouri this evening, Temperatures cool behind this storm
TONIGHT: We’re tracking a band of moderate rainfall passing through Mid-Missouri this evening, most places will see this first wave of rain end by 9pm. However, we’re tracking a secondary band passing through between 10-1am, some heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and brief strong wind gusts are possible. Lows bottom out near 70.
MONDAY: We look to stay mostly clear for the Monday morning commute, however, scattered showers are possible north of I-70– you’ll want to hang on to the umbrella for the afternoon, as storms look to fire along and east of HWY 63 into the day, some of those storms could be strong to severe. We’ll see highs top out in the low 80s.
EXTENDED: We’re tracking cooler weather arriving to Mid-Missouri behind this system. The will lead to a dip in the upper level jet stream which will in turn bring another round of smoky skies to Mid-Missouri through the middle of this week. Temperatures during this period look to range anywhere between 5-10 degrees below average for daytime highs. Another shot at rain arrives Friday. Watch ABC 17 for the latest forecast.
