Utility work to close lane of East St. Charles Road
Boone Electric Cooperative will close one lane of a section of East St. Charles Road starting next week while workers replace power lines and poles.
The work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday between Talon and Richland roads, Boone Electric said in a news release. Workers will have to close the southbound lane of the stretch of narrow, two-lane road without shoulders, the utility said.
The utility urged drivers to avoid traveling on the stretch of road during rush hour times. Work is expected to wrap up in mid-September.
