Spot showers bring limited rainfall totals
WEDNESDAY: Morning showers will be more numerous south of I-70 with areas along and to the east of HWY 54 more likely to get steady rain. Farther north, showers will be more spotty through the afternoon with isolated storms possible. These will taper off by evening after high temperatures rise into the low 80s. Winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph shifting to the west.
TONIGHT: Spotty showers decrease tonight with temperatures dropping into the upper 60s. With winds light out of the southwest by morning, some patchy fog will settle into the area decreasing visibility.
EXTENDED: Thursday looks drier and much warmer as we reach the mid to upper 80s with partly sunny skies. There is a chance of showers and t-storms Thursday night into Friday as an upper level wave moves through, along with a trailing cold front. These storms will increase after 8-9 PM Thursday from the west, some of which could be strong to severe as they move into the area with the threat of damaging winds and large hail. Storms bringing heavy rainfall will continue for Friday morning’s commute, but will begin to taper off by Friday afternoon. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s Friday. For the weekend, Saturday looks dry with highs in the upper 80s. After a brief period of dry time this weekend, spot storm chances will increase Sunday afternoon, with the better chance of rain Sunday night into Monday. Into the beginning of next week, rain chances increase Monday with the passage of another cold front. Watch ABC 17 News on air, and online for the latest up to date weather forecasts.
