I-70 ramps at Route BB to close this week
Both westbound ramps at the I-70 Boone County Route BB interchange near Rocheport will close starting Thursday at 10 p.m.
The work is part of the Boone County Route BB bridge over I-70 Rehabilitation Project. It’s for pavement repairs along the road, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation. The westbound ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. on Thursday until 5 a.m. on Friday and then again from 7 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
MoDOT suggested taking alternate routes while the work is going on:
“Motorists traveling west on I-70 who want to access Route BB should use the Route O/J interchange (approximately two miles east of the Route BB interchange) and exit onto the westbound I-70 off-ramp to Boone County Route J then proceed north to Route 40 to Missouri 240 to Rocheport to Route BB.” “Drivers who want to access I-70 westbound from Route BB north of the bridge should use Route BB to Rocheport to Missouri Route 240 to U.S. Route 40 to Boone County Route J to I-70 West.”
The Route BB bridge will close on Monday and remain closed until the project is complete, which is estimated to be sometime in October.
MoDOT said the I-70 on- and off-ramps will be open for most of the bridge rehabilitation work but will close near the end of the project.
