Rain chances through Wednesday, heating back up

TONIGHT: Spotty showers decrease overnight with cloudy skies as temperatures drop into the upper 60s. Winds will be out of the southeast up to 8 mph. After midnight, showers are expected to move in from the southwest into the Ozarks, gradually lifting to the northeast by daybreak, affecting areas mainly south of I-70.

WEDNESDAY: Morning showers will be more numerous south of I-70 with areas along and to the east of HWY 54 more likely to get steady rain. Farther north, showers will be more spotty through the afternoon with isolated storms possible. These will taper off by evening and we’ll dry out overnight. High temperatures will reach near 80 degrees with south winds at 5-10 mph shifting to the west.

EXTENDED: Thursday looks drier and much warmer as we reach the mid to upper 80s. There is a chance of showers and t-storms Thursday night into Friday as an upper level wave moves through. These will increase after 10 PM Thursday and will be very scattered through the day Friday, ending Friday evening. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s Friday. For the weekend, the weather stays unsettled with a spot storm chance Saturday afternoon and again Sunday. High temperatures will reach the upper 80s this weekend.
