Mid-Missouri Business Week: Mizzou’s Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic helps start-up businesses

James Niemann founded the Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic at the University of Missouri’s law school just three years ago. Since then, students in the program have worked with community businesses.

“It’s an experiential learning opportunity for our upper-level law students at Mizzou,” Niemann said. “It gives them hands-on experience working with live clients, much like a residency in medical school.”

Niemann is also the university’s representative for Regional Economic Development, Inc. Being part of this group helps the university be more involved with the community and expand from strictly campus investments.

ABC 17’s Kirstie Crawford talked about these organizations with Niemann on FOX 22 KQFX’s Mid-Missouri Business Week.

“We create a lot of opportunities for businesses to get the right start,” Niemann said.
