Mostly sunny and hot weekend, rain next week

TONIGHT: Temperatures will drop into the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies. Winds will be light out of the northeast around 2 mph. Some patchy fog is possible by Saturday morning.

SATURDAY: With mostly sunny skies, temperatures will climb to near 90 in the afternoon with northeast winds up to 10 mph, keeping humidity low.

EXTENDED: Skies will be mostly clear Saturday night which will make for good conditions to view the Perseid meteor shower. Clouds will increase from the southwest Sunday with partly sunny skies for the Ozarks but mostly sunny skies are expected farther north and east. High temperatures will reach 90 again Sunday with easterly winds up to 10 mph. Monday looks mainly dry but we are watching for storms increasing in western Missouri which could affect areas west of HWY 63 by evening. Highs will reach near 90 again Monday. A better chance of storms moves in with a wave of low pressure aloft starting Tuesday. Periods of showers and t-storms are possible from Tuesday through early Thursday with temperatures staying in the mid to upper 80s.
