Warm Thursday, with scattered storms by Friday
THURSDAY: It will be a hot day across Mid-Missouri, as temperatures top out in the mid 90s. Thankfully low humidity is in place across the region, so heat indices will mirror the temperature if not be a degree warmer. A few spotty storms are possible across southwestern parts of Mid-Missouri through the afternoon, as a weak upper level disturbance tracks through. Any storms we do see will quickly die down with the loss of daytime heating.
TONIGHT: Temperatures drop into the upper 60s under mostly clear skies with light winds, making for a comfortable and seasonal night.
EXTENDED: A weak cold front drifting south Friday could spark some spotty t-storms Friday late-afternoon into evening. Any that form during late afternoon could be strong but severe storms are not expected at this time due to a lack of wind shear. Into Saturday, temperatures will drop slightly making for a seasonal weekend with low humidity. High temperatures will stay in the upper 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies. Monday looks dry and seasonal but rain chances return Tuesday into Wednesday as an upper level wave of low pressure moves in from the west. Periods of showers and t-storms are possible from Tuesday through early Thursday with temperatures staying in the mid to upper 80s.
