Suspect caught after concerned citizen call

Fulton police confirmed Tuesday night they caught a man accused of breaking into a home and threatening to kill people with a knife.

A concerned citizen called around 9:49 p.m. on Tuesday after reportedly seeing Harley Steven Joseph Walls, 24, of Fulton, at a local gas station. Officers responded and took him into custody.

Investigators claim Walls broke into a home on Hawk Lake Drive around 10:15 p.m. Monday and threatened two victims with the knife.

The Callaway County Sheriff’s office, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Fulton Police Department were initially unable to find Walls during search efforts Monday.

He was arrested without incident on suspicion of first-degree burglary, second-degree domestic assault, second-degree assault, armed criminal action and second-degree property damage. He is in the Callaway County without bond.
