Boone County clerk apologizes for primary election results delay
The Boone County clerk posted a public apology after a delay in releasing primary election results Tuesday night.
Taylor Burks tweeted around 9:40 p.m. that absentee totals were not adding to Election Day votes in Boone County’s first round of results.
Sorry for the delay: absentee totals were not adding to Election Day votes in our first wave of results. We’ve identified the issue with ES&S (our election software company) and results coming shortly.

Burks said the issue was a result with ES&S (Boone County’s software company).
Vote totals for the county were released later updated around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
