UPDATE: Columbia Police confirm shots fired at Dairy Queen

UPDATE: Columbia police confirm that shots were fired near the Dairy Queen on Business Loop 70 East Saturday afternoon.

Officers said they recovered shell casings while they were investigating a vehicle involved west of the scene. There were two vehicles involved, but police did not specify how many people were in each.

The suspect vehicle was a black 4-door sedan with tinted windows.

No one was hurt.

A witness told ABC 17 News she saw several people in the dark sedan, and one man in another vehicle.

She said saw a man from the sedan firing shots in the air, which caused the other man to drive off toward O’Reilly Auto Parts.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police were on the scene at Dairy Queen near Business Loop 70 East and North Seventh St. Saturday afternoon.

ABC 17 News was at the scene after hearing reports of an incident there earlier.
