Summer heat is short-lived, Storms return Tuesday

TONIGHT: We’ll see winds die down into this evening, and temperatures slowly falling back into the 70s. It’s possible for some spot showers overnight, but much of Mid-Missouri stays dry.

SUNDAY: Another hot & sunny day on tap. We’ll notice slightly higher humidities as well, with less of a breeze than what we saw Saturday. We stay dry, with lots of sun, so definitely keep the sunscreen handy with any outdoor activities that you have planned tomorrow.

EXTENDED: The heat hits the home stretch on Monday, with temperatures in the mid-upper 90s with heat index values near 100 degrees. An approaching cold front Monday evening brings us an increasing chance at rain and thunderstorms. Those storms last into Tuesday and along with temperatures dropping all the way back in to the low to mid-80s Tuesday. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
