Deputies investigate shooting near Holts Summit, one man shot
Callaway County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting just north of Holts Summit.
Deputies responded to the scene on Evergreen Drive at the Evergreen Apartment Complex just before 10 p.m. Friday night.
Deputies said when they arrived at the scene, they found a 55-year-old man who has been shot. The man was transported by helicopter to University Hospital and is expected to survive.
Deputies said they are still investigating the incident. They said multiple people were at the complex when they arrived and the Holts Summit Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol helped with security and witness interviews.
Investigators have received various levels of cooperation from those potential witnesses.
Deputies said law enforcement agencies are often called to the apartment complex, including calls for disturbance complaints.
